Meditation in Motion
"Meditation in Motion" is the expression I use to sum up the combination of mindfulness / self-mastery practices I share, namely mindful breathing and walking (learned from Master Thich Nhat Hanh of Plum Village) and various forms of Qi Gong (learned from Master Shi Heng Yi of Shaolin Temple Europe).
To go beyond my personal experiences and deeply understand the potential health benefits of these practices, I recommend reading the comprehensive review conducted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) here: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3085832/#R35.

As modern life and the whole world seems to spin ever faster than we can handle, meditation continues to rise in popularity as a powerful coping mechanism.
However, most people struggle to find the time to pause and try to center themselves in a quiet place that elicits any sort of liberation. Others do manage to stop and sit for a few minutes but only to meet a hurricane of thoughts and emotions rushing through their brains.
So, what's the way out of this conundrum?
"The way out is in" said Thich Nhat Hanh, a great teacher from the Mahayana branch of Buddhism and founder of Plum Village.
"Meditation" is commonly coined to describe the act of sitting quietly on a cushion. Yet, this is only one way to cultivate "mindfulness", a state of intentional awareness of our experience.
Through alternative methods of contemplation, such as mindful breathing, walking, and martial art routines, we can meditate on the move, embodying enlightenment in motion.

The methods I share help people find their stride with meditative practice through slow, purposeful movement, which ease the transition from the rush of daily life to contemplative experiences.
Meditation, be it in motion or in stillness, may not end all conflicts. But it is an essential way to help us calm and comprehend the conflicts and crises we find ourselves in.
I invite you to join me on the journey to cultivate inner peace and presence, as we move kindly and lightly upon the Earth.
