This is the online repository of my work, which elicits care and mindful connections with nature.
Each piece is made with non-toxic materials and raises funds to tackle some of the existential issues of our time.

Below is a list of my efforts to elucidate, ameliorate, and reconcile with the realities of a few of the many maladies that torment us.

What?

I conceived Vitorious as an alterego to invite people worldwide to reflect and take action on the existential issues of our time.

My experience has unequivocally proved to me that delegating all duty of care to ambitious "leaders", merely raising awareness about issues and solutions, and saturating the world with hopeful visions and eyebrow-raising plans is not enough to bring about the changes we need.

Consequently, my work merges immersive experiences in diverse communities, thoroughly researched information, mindful craftsmanship, beneficent funding, and caring partnerships to encourage reparative behaviors that can help alleviate the tragedies and oppressive systems that man(un)kind perpetrates.

I combine words and images to design murals, apparel, stickers, and digital assets to get people's attention to issues like climate change and the mental health crisis. I strive to make everything accessible to people with varied levels of ability and education so that no handicap or privilege keeps anyone away from comprehending what I intend to bring to light.

If you are wondering why there is no letter "c" in "Vitorious", it is in part because of my name. However, read it out loud and listen carefully: you don't need a c. Depending on how that sounds to you, you might hear "you don't need to see" and that is my provocation to those who come across my work. We must somehow embrace the truths art reveals. Letting go of some of our comforts and knowledge, we may learn to share the loads and victories that await our devotion.

Walls are a passion I'd like to pursue at some point, as urban landscapes tend to be neither designed nor built for the well-being of all creatures and are not decorated with environmentally-friendly materials and messages.

~ Be|Wilder Brigade ~

Be|Wilder Brigade is a series of NFTs of endangered animals questioning mankind's unkind exploits. In solidarity with the vociferous species from the Wild Word Web collection, the brigade's flag-bearer, a Mandrill baboon [Mandrillus sphinx] with Monstera deliciosa leaves for wings, carries the "Devolve" flag to lead the uprising that will take back the planet from the tyranny of man(un)kind. Bewildering as it may seem, the Brigade's Manifesto suggests that civilization, not the wild, is where savagery truly dwells. The Brigade`s butterfly symbol morphs from lines that make the Noble Eightfold Path, alluding to the compassionate wisdom that all beings and actions are inherently interconnected and valuable.

~ WWW ~

Wild Word Web (WWW) is a phygital, philanthropic initiative that aims to cultivate the potential of web3 to harvest financial resources and positive action for wildlife conservation. The endangered animals and elements in each NFT are purposefully developed to sensitize our unhinged species about the realities of the broadly misunderstood, disregarded, and oppressed beings who share the Earth with us.

Modus Operandi

This is the image of a stylized tiger with a black body, some yellow, v-shaped markings, and a forked tongue, which are key elements of Vitorious' work.

~ Easy, Tiger ~

Easy, Tiger is a collection of t-shirts that urges people to pause, observe, and catch themselves before rash decisions are made. The name of this series comes from the English expression that is directed at those who are on the edge of losing their temper, which very seldom results in anything positive.

Threads of Victory [νίκη] is a t-shirt collection that I created to invite people to be more mindful of the repercussions of our actions. However insignificant you may think yourself to be at times, our words, our presence, and our deeds can make a lasting impact.

~ Reveal, Rebel and Rejoice ~

Reveal, Rebel and Rejoice called for peace during the re-escalation of tensions-turn-genocide in Gaza in January 2024. The three horses manifested from my interpretation of a mesmerizing mural by South African artist Faith XLVII to serve as signs of compassionate alliances that need to exist for all to resist the long list of atrocities our species ceaselessly foments. The set of three digital images was developed from a wall painting I called Faith, that most closely resembles Reveal. This initiative generated a few hundred dollars for the Gaza relief fund. Downloadable copies will remain on sale indefinitely and prints may be ordered via email.

~ THREE DOORS OF LIBERATION ~

Three Doors of Liberation offers an experience for reflecting on the structures mankind has designed (physical, political, economic, social, etc.) and how they keep us from being fully present to observe our surroundings, who is next to us, where we come from and go to, and how we are doing along the way.

The prompts, structures, and set path through each room invite all to witness, reflect on, and embrace a reconnection with the wilderness to find clarity amidst the many distractions we are immersed in. Civilization has forged limits we either blindly believed and carelessly cemented in our search for dominance over life's unpredictability, resulting in a dystopian reality that is frankly shameful.

These installations will require sponsors at a future date to provide space, materials, and funding necessary to prepare the elements described in the project specs below. Private and public contributions for nature retreats and contemplation workshops will be welcomed during the exhibits.

~ More & More ~

More & More is a series of t-shirts that came about when I recognized the lyrics of one of my favorite songs in a Buddhist documentary. Hence its layout with the slightly modified chorus around a Buddha. These designs feature a lighthearted message about human ambition, reminding us all of the path to a more blissful state. It is key to point out that broadly painting desire as a wholeheartedly "evil" feeling is misguided. How it is used and its dose makes it poison. Also, wearing these shirts may not make someone awesome, actions matter more. We ought to choose our shirts wisely and our actions a notch (or two) above that threshold.
