The Guide:
Vitor Machado Lira
Curious about ethics, co-existence and the diversity of life forms on Earth since my childhood in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, I obtained my bachelors degree in philosophy and religious studies, my masters degree in two fields of study: i. human behavior, education and communication and ii. environmental justice, and worked in community engagement for sustainability projects for six years.
Since 2013, in parallel to "traditional" academic and professional pursuits, I obtained coaching certificates in various movement practices and sports and instructed teenagers and adults alike. In 2020, my journey to deepen my understanding of how to live a fluid and peaceful life took me to Buddhism.
With great joy, I continue to dive deeper and seek to disseminate the teachings of Masters Thich Nhat Hanh, Shi Heng Yi and other dharma teachers and practitioners, along with environmentally-conscious behaviors. The methods I have been privileged to learn have improved my life significantly and I am adamant that they can bring positive transformations to the lives on many.
